Project Description

The indigenous Irish company, Sirus Group are specialists in providing energy management solutions for buildings. We have been on the front line for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Electrical and Controls systems since 1989. Our team has a broad base of experience including a combination of BMS, mechanical, refrigeration, controls electrical, calibration, R&D and thermodynamic skills.  The Sirus Group employs over 100 people and operates across Ireland, and mainland Europe providing a full range of services for our customers. Our engineers are spread across multiple locations and are available 24/7, 365 days a year. We have a diverse customer group which includes Industry, Education, Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Data Centres and Airports for Turnkey Projects and/or facility maintenance.

We are involved in training and research and development to ensure we are at the forefront of energy research. Led by Dr. Paul Sikora, Sirus provides specialist design consultancy in the areas of thermodynamics and renewable energy. Paul designed and installed the award winning Combined Heating and Cooling Heat Pump System in UCC, Glucksman Gallery. He has over thirty years’ experience as a thermodynamic physicist and a number of patents in energy solutions. Sirus develop innovative energy solutions for new and retrofit installations in the areas of heat recovery, thermodynamics and renewable energy heat pump systems. Sirus are also partners in an EASME H2020 funded project called IMPRESS. This project will develop a new range of easy to install panels, which reduce energy demand while preserving or improving the building aesthetics. Sirus will monitor the test sites before, during and after the retrofit. The results will be demonstrated on two buildings where final as-built product performance will be validated against the initial design.
