ShowGuider, an Irish technological innovation company based at the Nimbus Research Centre, CIT, has won a contract to develop an interactive 3D model for the Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA). The model will assist visitors navigate their way around the near-700,000 sq m facility which hosts to more than 1,600 companies.
The interactive model will comprise of floor-by-floor, 3D replicas of the 300 or so buildings within the DAFZA. It will be possible for visitors to quickly navigate to their desired destination by tapping on location icons attached to buildings and facilities within the ShowGuider model; in addition to accessing a range of information such as the real-time availability of meeting rooms and daily restaurant menus.
The model will include a traffic monitoring feature which involves integrating high-quality CCTV IP cameras and will play a significant role in solving major traffic congestion problems for the DAFZA. This contract is the second from Dubai for Showguider who secured a deal with the Dubai World Trade Centre at last year’s Gitex technology conference.
