Could your business find a customer in the Space Industry? It’s not out of this world. There are enormous opportunities for Cork businesses to have their products sold to a global market.
From architecture to manufacturing and construction, from ICT to agri-tech and law, you could literally have a whole world of new customers.
In County Hall on the 30th of March, Cork County Council and Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) will host a Seminar which will identify how businesses can avail of these opportunities and how to tap into a space industry worth over €300 billion annually.
Space is a driving force for innovation and contributes to competitiveness, growth and job creation. The space industry requires companies of all sizes and across all disciplines and our knowledge-based economy is ideally placed to take advantage of such growth. This is not, however, well understood by the business community who generally consider space to be about rockets only, thereby missing out on extensive commercial opportunities.
This is a timely Seminar given that the International Space University (ISU) has announced that CIT will host a 9 week International Space University Summer Space Programme (SSP17) in Cork this summer from 26 June to 25 August 2017. SSP17 will bring global space business leaders to Cork and indeed Ireland, for the first time.
Registration will be open from 08.30 am in Vertigo, County Hall where refreshments will be available and the seminar will commence at 09.00 am sharp. We will aim to finish the seminar by 11:00 am.
Carparking will be available adjacent to the Kingsley Hotel on the City side.
