Broadband speeds in Ireland boosted to 360Mbps by Virgin Media

Virgin Media has made 360Mbps speeds available across its network of close to 750,000 homes in Ireland.

The increased speeds come as the Irish Government has kicked off a tendering process for its EU-supported €275m National Broadband Plan to connect over 750,000 postal addresses and 1.8 million people in broadband-deprived areas with a minimum speed of 30Mbps.

Virgin Media has more than 375,900 broadband subscribers capable of receiving between 150Mbps and 500Mbps broadband. Some 750,000 homes are passed by its network and are now capable of receiving speeds of up to 360Mbps.
